Sr. Survey Programmer

We are currently seeking a Senior Survey Programmer.  The Sr. Survey Programmer will be responsible for programming, quality testing, and launching surveys, along with developing online reporting tools and data displays.  The Sr. Survey Programmer must also be skilled at working with question logic, skip patterns, and quota cells.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in a ‘power user’ platform such as Decipher, SPSS Dimensions, or a similar platform.  In addition to programming surveys, the Sr. Survey Programmer will work closely with our Innovation team to program custom tools based on cutting-edge behavioral science.  So the Sr. Survey Programmer should have deep experience custom coding surveys through the application of any appropriate programming languages.

Breakthrough Research is a “virtual first” company and this position is 100% remote. However, candidates must be west coast based or willing to work west coast hours. 

Salary range for this role is $80k - $110k, depending on experience.

Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience in market research survey programming required

- Experience with ‘power user’ survey programming platforms (Decipher, SPSS Dimensions, etc.) required

- Experience custom coding with web programming languages (HTML, Python, JavaScript, CSS, etc.) required

- Excellent attention to detail 

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deadlines 

- Exceptional problem-solving skills and “outside the box” thinking 

- Strong organizational skills 

- Motivated and self-directed 

- Entrepreneurial attitude and desire to learn and grow within the role
