Sales Manager

Summary

An opening for a key player on our team in a growing market research company. Work with the executive management team to hunt business. There is an opportunity for tremendous growth and earnings potential in this role for the right person.

Our firm consistently experiences revenue growth through successful marketing, lead generation, and repeat relationships. We are looking to develop a new growth stream of net-new business and new relationships.

Job Duties

This position intends to drive growth and sales for Drive Research services through new accounts and relationships. The absolute goal of the position is to generate net new business that our current marketing and sales activities wouldn’t otherwise capture.

Sales

  • Be the front person and primary hunter for all new business opportunities.

  • Leverage relationships and contacts to grow accounts and build net new business.

  • Schedule and lead business development and strategy meetings to scope projects.

  • Help manage the live chat on the website to manage inbound requests.

  • Ask questions in email and over the phone to help vet qualified prospects for bidding. 

  • Manage and update new contacts, deals, initial outreach, and activity in HubSpot.

  • Contact partners and vendors (and find new ones) to collect bids for proposals.

  • Draft proposals for market research projects ready for eSignature.

  • Draft cost sheets and budgets for proposals.

  • Potential to manage intake of 1300+ inbound website leads.

Marketing

  • Draft ideas and write blog posts for the website to generate page traffic.

  • Design outbound strategies to target new and past accounts to grow business.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team on outreach to help generate leads.

  • Participate in virtual/in-person networking events to grow the brand.

  • Remain active on LinkedIn and Sales Navigator to promote the brand.

  • Other duties as requested (or inspired by your interests).

Position Requirements

  • Based in the U.S.

  • 5+ years of experience in sales specific to market research

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office - PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • Track record of creating net new business

  • Workplace flexibility: Our office and focus group facility is located at 6702 Buckley Rd. in Syracuse, yet we offer some remote flexibility for the position. We embrace and encourage you to work wherever you are most productive. We entice our employees to get together in-person with on-site happy hours, parties, and scheduled lunches. Each employee develops their own mix of in-office work versus remote work. However, most staff works remotely from home in 2024 but there will be in-person requirements as part of this role that are mandatory in Syracuse.
