As a Research Manager, you’ll be the keystone of your client accounts, project-managing, delegating and dealing with day-to-day account activity while ensuring clients are kept informed and that any project issues are resolved.

This is a hands-on role in the delivery of high-quality research projects, applying your knowledge, expertise and analytical skills to support clients in better decision-making.

This position is responsible for projects from the initial brief to final delivery, working both independently and in collaboration with team experts and other specialized teams across Savanta.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the Project lead and the primary client contact
  • Designing research elements such as sample plan, questionnaires, analysis, etc.
  • Delegating tasks such as questionnaire proofing/editing, field monitoring, data cleaning, tab specifications, tab checking, etc. And ensuring they are completed to a high standard
  • Managing the schedule in coordination with clients, internal teams, and operations
  • Analysis and reporting, creating insightful and informative presentations, ensuring the clients objectives are fully met

Your role is essential in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and to a high standard, providing valuable insights to clients and fostering strong client relationships to support business growth.

Additionally, a Research Manager oversees and mentors junior team members, promoting an open and supportive team environment.

About You

  • Be well-versed in all phases of a quantitative or mixed methodology project, demonstrating expertise from initiation to completion. And able to use this experience to design research to meet clients’ needs.
  • Operate independently, showcasing the ability to manage projects without extensive support
  • Execute comprehensive research tasks, ensuring high-quality outcomes throughout the project lifecycle
  • Experienced in developing and nurturing client relationships, with the ability to articulate insights to clients.
  • Have a passion for finding stories within data and bringing these to life through reports and presentations.
  • Thrive on variety and challenge and be able to balance competing demands on your time.
  • Experience and interest in managing or mentoring other team members

The ideal candidate should also demonstrate:

  • Awareness of potential challenges in projects and proactively tackle them
  • Self-motivation, flexibility and an independent mind but also able to work in a team
  • Juggling multiple projects simultaneously and within tight timeframes
  • Delegating and managing resources effectively
  • Not essential but beneficial - Experience or interest in moderating qualitative IDIs, focus groups, etc.
