Market Research Analyst

The Market Research Analyst will leverage a strong background in market research, with a particular focus on the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. Primary responsibilities will include gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to inform and drive business decisions, identify emerging market trends, and deliver actionable insights that align with the company’s strategic objectives. The work of the research analyst will help the company navigate the competitive landscape, capitalize on market opportunities, help to guide product development and market strategies, inform decision-making process, and support overall business growth. To ensure success, the Marketing Research Analyst should have at least four years of experience in market research, with proven experience in accessing and utilizing various data sources, outstanding analytical insight and excellent mathematics and language skills. Demonstrating an aptitude for interpreting data and strong research abilities is crucial. Experience in the healthcare sector and more specifically pharmacy operations is highly desirable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth market research to understand industry trends, market size, competitive landscape including pricing, and customer needs, particularly within the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors.
- Design and implement market and consumer surveys.
- Gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data from various sources, including primary and secondary research methods in support of sales and marketing efforts.
- Developing and maintaining databases and tools for tracking market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback.
- Preparing detailed reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate research findings and insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Identifying key market opportunities and challenges, providing actionable recommendations to support business strategy and product development.
- Forecasting future market, consumer, and sales trends.
- Communicating with customers, competitors, and suppliers.
- Stay current on industry developments, consumer behavior, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that could impact the market.
- Leverage knowledge of pharmaceutical practices to identify and assess relevant data sources and research methods.
- Perform accurate and comprehensive market research SWOT / PESTEL Analysis.
- Use traditional and modern statistical tools for more enhanced visualization of information.
- Support business objectives by identifying key trends in data that can drive growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, market research, social sciences, marketing, or a similar field.
- 4+ years’ experience working in market research.
- Professional Researcher Certification (PRC) and/or Qualitative Research Professional (QRP) Certification are highly desirable.
- Additional related courses or certifications are beneficial.
- Healthcare and/or Medical Device experience desirable.
- Good knowledge of market research tools & analytical software.
- Adept at navigating and extracting valuable insights from data repositories specific to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
- Proficiency with computer programs, such as MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent research, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with survey tools, CRM programs, and databases.
- Ability to work on business intelligence, reporting and data visualization software (Tableau or other data visualization tools).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand format.
