KS&R is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team. This position is key to business expansion and market growth.
The role requires an independent, self-starter with a consultative selling style who is capable of building positive and collaborative working relationships with clients and colleagues. Compensation will be both salary and commission, with opportunities to increase based on success.
This position will be based on the West Coast.
Responsibilities are as follows:
Support sales strategy development and implementation in association with the VP of Sales and the VP of New Business Development Build relationships/contacts, cold calling, where necessary, for targeted prospects
Develop a robust sales pipeline, and convert pipeline into recognized revenue
Manage all aspects of the business development process, including prospecting, qualifying, presenting capabilities, creating and submitting proposals, and closing projects
Be fully versed in KS&R’s service offerings and how they can benefit clients
Organize meetings and presentations
Assist with writing and delivering persuasive proposals
Track all activity with KS&R’s CRM System
Work collaboratively with KS&R account teams
Employ a consultative, strategic selling approach
Research and profile targeted organizations to better understand their needs and what KS&R services may be most impactful for them
Effectively represent KS&R’s service and product offerings with clients at meetings, industry conferences, and events; create opportunities for effective business development
Minimum 2 - 4 years’ experience in sales/business development; minimum 2 - 4 years experience in marketing research.
Strong industry background in technology and/or entertainment industries
MBA or equivalent Master’s degree preferred
Self-motivated, high energy, detail-oriented individual with a passion for identifying new opportunities, persuasive/collaborative selling, and a strong work ethic
High proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) Self-motivated and intellectually curious team player
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), as well as listening and presentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Proven organizational skills; an ability to successfully juggle multiple deliverables simultaneously
Experience with CRM systems a plus, but not required
Demonstrated expertise in strategic account planning, cold calling and lead development
