RIVA Market Research
RIVA Market Research was founded in 1981 by Naomi Henderson and for more than 40 Years RIVA has been providing insightful and valuable qualitative research for its clients and for an array of industries over the years. RIVA solely conducts qualitative market research which allows us to understand the POBAs (perceptions, opinions, beliefs, and attitudes) of each of our clients’ target market.
RIVA Market Research has assembled a staff of nationally recognized qualitative moderators, researchers, and analysts who work as a team to meet with clients to define the research project and establish objectives. RIVA’s network of qualitative moderators includes people of Caucasian, African American, and Latin American descent as well as a variety of faith backgrounds. We recommend suitable approaches and conduct relevant qualitative research events, analyze results, and present comprehensive findings to our clients.
RIVA’s team works closely with our clients to create outcome-oriented questions that help uncover beliefs and perceptions that genuinely reflect respondents’ opinions. By prioritizing creating a safe environment to allow respondents to express themselves candidly, RIVA is able to scrutinize preconceived notions and investigate preliminary conclusions to reveal underlying market attitudes and likely behaviors. Our research mission is to conduct insightful qualitative research and translate findings into useful information that clients can trust to help them make sound, strategic decisions. To ensure that our work represents the target market accurately, RIVA Market Research adheres to rigorous qualitative research principles.
RIVA Training Institute
In 1982, Naomi Henderson and her sister, Jo Ann Hairston, founded the RIVA Training Institute to meet the growing demand for qualitative research training, including moderating, facilitating, and related skills such as analysis and report writing. As a minority, woman owned business, RIVA has grown to become the “Gold Standard” to which all others are compared in the qualitative research industry.
RIVA training services not only benefit researchers, moderators, and facilitators, but clients and end-users of qualitative research as well. The understanding of qualitative research allows clients and end-users to better choose when to utilize in-house staff vs. trained vendors to meet their qualitative research needs.
RIVA offers an array of qualitative courses to suit a variety of training needs. Beyond our public offerings, RIVA is also available to specifically design training for a client’s unique needs on site at their offices or via online learning.
Our training mission believes that moderating and qualitative research skills are based on a science platform and executed as an art. To that end, we believe that excellence is achieved by a combination of learning and application and the need to return to “learner’s mind” from time to time, to upgrade a skill set.
