Rare Patient Voice, LLC was founded in 2013 by industry veteran Wes Michael to provide patients and family caregivers with rare diseases an opportunity to be heard. Wes has over 40 years of experience in marketing research and over 20 years in health care marketing research. His vision and the enduring mission of Rare Patient Voice is to connect patients and family caregivers with opportunities to share their opinions with the researchers and companies developing products, treatments and services to improve lives. RPV is now an award-winning patient recruitment company spanning nine countries (and growing!).
A ground-breaking approach
Rare Patient Voice is unique in its approach, having been built on a foundation of direct connections with patients and word-of-mouth. We have assembled a panel of over 140,000 patients and caregivers through attending in person awareness events, meetings and conferences, by working with patient advocacy groups through a robust referral program and through social media. We cover more than 1,400 diseases and conditions, both rare and non-rare, and now cover the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Australia and New Zealand. We work with thousands of referral partners throughout the world who help us to find hard-to-reach patients and caregivers for studies. The time of patients and caregivers is valuable and to date, we have paid them over $13 million dollars for participating in research.
