Data analysis software maker SPSS Inc., Chicago, has ageed to purchase Quantime Ltd., a UK-based research software and services supplier. The transaction is expected to be completed as a pooling of interests in which SPSS will issue 900,000 shares of its comlnon stock. At press time in September, the parties expected to conclude the transaction, subject to the completion of definitive documentation, by September 30. SPSS plans to continue developing and marketing Quantime products.
